Job DescriptionThe Medical Coordinator will facilitate scheduling for Veterans, clinics, and providers across the country for physical and mental health disability assessments. They will provide customer-focused service and liaise with contracted Provider clinics and physicians as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for 30+ contracted clinics and providers.
- Identify and match veterans with geographically appropriate providers or clinics and facilitate appointment scheduling.
- Provide customer service and address veteran inquiries regarding scheduling availability, drive time, appointment expectations, status updates, etc.
- Answer and direct calls and respond to voicemails in a timely manner.
- Contribute to email maintenance within the shared department inbox.
- Provide administrative support for medical document maintenance and completion.
- Assist in processing provider and clinic change requests.
- Previous experience coordinating medical appointments and liaising with providers preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function independently in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to learn new tasks and processes remotely using live and recorded video trainings and written materials.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
