We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Cashier to join our team. As the first point of contact with our customers, you will provide exceptional customer service while processing transactions and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be comfortable with basic math, and have a strong work ethic to keep up with a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Greet customers when they arrive and provide a welcoming environment
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions using a cash register
- Resolve customer complaints or direct them to the appropriate department for resolution
- Maintain accurate cash drawer records and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized, including restocking merchandise and cleaning the checkout station
- Complete opening and closing procedures for the checkout area, including balancing the cash drawer and securing the area
- Assist customers with locating merchandise or answering questions about products
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Comfortable with basic math and able to accurately calculate change
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
