RemoteThis role can be performed remotely from any Collins location both domestic or remote.
Primary Responsibilities:
Transportation / Relationship Management:
- Act as an internal / external consultant
- Understand requests from stakeholders, triage situations and provide best possible solutions
- Build relationships and work across multiple internal functional groups such as but not limited to: Digital Technology, Global Trade, Program Managers, Value Stream Leaders, Central Logistics, Procurement, Sourcing and Accounts Payable among others
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and site Logistics / Financial leads
- Build relationships, have open communication and work closely with 3PL’s, local and national carriers to execute acceptable OTD, resolve any issues that may arise and manage carrier performance in general
- Build relationships, have open communication and work closely with our freight payment and audit supplier(s) - FBAP
- Participate in QBR’s for some carriers
- Help internal stakeholders set up truckload shipments
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders and suppliers on proper shipping processes, account numbers to use, direct them to correct contacts if not the transportation group, claims process
- Work with site Logistics leads in order to resolve shipping / receiving / payment issues
- Partner with Sourcing and Contracts in order to keep some local carrier contracts in place
- Liaison between Risk Management and other internal stakeholders for claims and high value shipments
- Liaison between Global Trade and internal stakeholders / suppliers / customers
- Work on various projects for Logistics groups as necessary
- Attend Central Logistics calls and meetings
- Work with Central Logistics teams on projects to achieve Corporate cost savings goals
- Participate in RFP activities for carrier contract renewals when needed
- Help with implementation of TMS
Freight Bill Audit and Payment (FBAP):
- Onboarding and management of carriers
- Create and implement coding logic, correct any issues and review for any future updates
- Approve exceptions on supplier’s website for shipments that don’t fit implemented coding logic
- Manage all client ID’s to ensure shipments are being worked by all client ID’s
- Add / remove site ID’s as needed
- Review and approve all funding documents
- Work to resolve any carrier payment delays and issues
- Create reports and presentations that allow our SBU to monitor on-going budget spend from Microsoft BI
- Identify trends and patterns contributing to on-going exceptions or payment issues
Reporting:
- Adhoc reporting via the FBAP data
- Month / Quarter / Annual reporting from FBAP data
- FedEx OTD
- Monitor air vs ground spend

- TMS system (future state)

Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
