QUESTIONS
The Re-Entry Coordinator is a civilian position located at the Land O' Lakes Correction Facility. This position is responsible for identifying and assessing qualifying inmates, and developing a re-entry plan to assist the inmate with a successful reintegration into the community. The Re-Entry Coordinator will develop and maintain collaborations with community agencies and providers and make appropriate referrals for services and treatment.
Utilizes appropriate assessment tools to identify inmate risks and needs; submits service referrals on behalf of inmate; conducts post-release correspondence to determine inmate compliance with re-entry plans; maintain documentation for reporting and analysis. Collaborates with criminal justice professionals to provide appropriate referrals/services; approves and facilitates professional visit requests with inmates. Engages inmate population in re-entry planning; establishes and maintains working relationships with community providers, including conducting field visits to understand services provided; facilitates classes to address criminogenic needs and risk factors. Performs related work as required.
- Knowledge of Issues and emerging trends related to criminal justice, recidivism, re-entry and community resources.

PHYSICAL SKILLS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to communicate effectively verbal, written, and visual communication. This position is located at the Land O' Lakes Correction Facility.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate degree and one (1) year experience working with vulnerable populations and/or in corrections. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Ability to type 35 words per minute without error is required.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Possession of a valid Florida driver's license.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unescorted CJIS clearance as authorized by FDLE required.
